I visited Orb of Light, a cocktail bar I found while hanging out in Jongno!
It was raining all day, so no outdoor seating for us, haha.
It’s about a 7-minute walk from Anguk Station Exit 4 and 6 minutes from Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 6.
The bar has a red accent that really catches the eye.
Because of the rain, the atmosphere was even cozier and more romantic.
Orb of Light
Orb of Light – the view of the inside through the glass was so calming, probably because of the rain.
As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by rows of wine bottles to your left.
And there’s the bar counter!
We sat by the window to enjoy the rainy view. 😊
The entire place is beautifully decorated.
Every shot I took came out looking amazing!
Look what I found—a cute little fish decoration!! So adorable! 😍
Even the coat hangers are thoughtfully placed.
" Orb of Light Menu "
They also brought us water right away. 😊
The restroom inside is spotless, and the owner’s attention to detail is just chef’s kiss!
They even had my favorite Aesop hand wash, which left a lovely scent all day. ✨
Lemon Tart – 19,000 won
Tomajour Tonic – 18,000 won
If you tell them what kind of cocktail you’re in the mood for, they’ll recommend something for you!
Even if it’s not on the menu, they’ll make it for you, how cool is that? 😄
The Tomajour Tonic was a fresh and unique mix of tequila and tomato, while the Lemon Tart was a blend of Amontillado and Maraschino, with a delightful balance of bitterness and sweet lemon custard.
I personally preferred the Lemon Tart—it was rich, slightly thick, and the sweetness was just perfect! 💛
Cheese Plate – 13,000 won
The cheese plate had a variety of soft cheeses, mini crackers, cream cheese, olives, breadsticks, fruits, ham, and more!
The potato salad was surprisingly delicious, and the chocolate was so good I wanted to ask where they got it from! 😋
They also had a dish called Stepmill, which was a spicy beef stew with various ingredients.
I was too full to try it this time, but it’s apparently a customer favorite. I’m definitely trying it on my next visit!
I had such a satisfying time here.
I often visit Ikseon-dong, and since weekends can get super busy, it’s hard to find a place without a reservation. But since Orb of Light is a bit away from the center of Ikseon-dong, it was less crowded and perfect for a relaxing evening with great cocktails and wine. 😊
