From Sadang Station Exit 10, walk straight for 3 minutes, and you'll find it in the alley next to Saemaul Bank.

It’s in the heart of Sadang’s “Street You Want to Stay On” district.

 

You can spot Baekchae Kimchi Jjigae from afar!

We arrived at around 5:15 PM, just after the 5 PM break, and the place was already packed with customers.

 

This spot serves delicious Spicy Stir-Fried Pork (Durootkki) and their signature Kimchi Stew, perfect with a shot of soju! 🍲🍶

 

If there's a wait, you can get a waiting ticket at the counter.

And if you wait for more than 20 minutes, they'll give you a free rolled omelet service! 🥚

The restaurant has both chairs with backrests and storage chairs where you can put your belongings—a nice touch! 😊

We ordered Set 1, which includes small-sized spicy stir-fried pork, rolled omelet, and DIY rice balls (₩29,000). We also added Snow Cheese for ₩3,000. 🧀

 

They even provide instructions on how to best enjoy the stir-fried pork!

 

While waiting, we noticed how well-decorated the restaurant was. Very cozy!

However, it's unlimited if you order for everyone in your group! 🍚

 

Tissues are conveniently placed around the table, and they also bring water and utensils to your seat.

 

First up was the DIY rice balls! We mixed them up ourselves—so tasty with the savory flavor of sesame oil. 😋

 

Next, the Snow Cheese arrived, which we saved to pair with the spicy stir-fried pork.

 

We couldn’t wait and started snacking on the rice balls right away!

 

Then, the main dish—the stir-fried pork—came out.

 

Following the instructions, we began by finding and cutting the thick slices of pork.

 

The meat was still slightly red inside, so we let it cook just a little longer.

 

The rolled omelet came with a cute bear-shaped sauce bottle, and the omelet itself was soft and fluffy! 🐻🥚

 

The portions were large, but we managed to finish it all! 😅

 

I added some cheese to my plate, and my friend mixed their rice with the broth—delicious!

 

The combination of the stir-fried pork with cheese was amazing—the cheese toned down the spice and made it creamier. We couldn’t stop eating! 😂

 

This place is perfect for those who enjoy a drink with their meal (almost every table around us had soju). I highly recommend Baekchae Kimchi Jjigae if you're in Sadang!
