I had a reservation at 12:30 PM on Sunday in Hongdae, so I was searching for a Yeonnam restaurant that opens at 11 AM on weekends.

That’s when I found Mippeudong! I had already bookmarked it after seeing their salmon noodles before, so the decision was easy~

Up we go to the second floor!

 

We arrived around 11:05 AM, and there were already three groups seated 😊

 

There are cute 2-person tables arranged nicely for dates,

 

and also 3~4 person tables available!

 

There’s even a bar-style counter facing the open kitchen.

J-Takudon comes with a slightly different setup—gim (seaweed) and sauce.

Pour the sauce over the dish, mix it well, and wrap it in gim—so good!

 

As you eat, when the portion is just right, a staff member will come and ask if you’d like some broth added.
The slightly cooked fish with rice and broth was a perfect combination 😊

Tomato Salmon Noodles!

 

Most people add extra soba noodles to this dish.
But since I had breakfast already, I passed!
Even without the extra soba, it was filling with thick, long pieces of salmon.
The tomato with the soba broth and salmon was so refreshing and tangy 💕

The salmon soba mixed with wasabi was really tasty~
