The restaurant is located on the second floor of the iPlex Office Building.
Parking is well-organized, with spaces available from the basement level 1 to 3 😊
They validate parking for 2 hours if you eat here!
Once you get off on the second floor and follow the signs to Seongwon Water Dakgalbi, you’ll find it at the end of the hallway.
The bathrooms are on the same floor, located outside, and are separated for men and women.
The inside of the restaurant is spacious and clean, with ample seating for groups!
We arrived right after they opened, so there were no other customers 😊
Inside the restaurant, there are some appetizing pictures and neon signs that add to the vibe.

We ordered the Small Water Dakgalbi for 28,000 KRW and a Kimchi Rice Ball for 2,000 KRW.
The cheesy potato pancake looked amazing too 🤤

Seongwon Dakgalbi's Self-Service Side Dishes
A variety of side dishes are available in the self-service corner, including kimchi, peppers, radish, and salad 🥗
We grabbed some side dishes— the radish cubes (kkakdugi) were incredibly delicious!
Drinks are also self-serve and refillable! You can grab ice too 🧊
It’s a bit of a bummer that they didn’t have any zero-calorie drinks, but I grabbed some Coke and Mirinda Orange anyway 🥤

Each table comes with a small menu and instructions on how to enjoy the meal.
There’s even a magnetized bottle opener attached to the table— how convenient!
We were given mustard sauce, water, utensils, wet wipes, small plates, and a ladle.
The Water Dakgalbi arrived quickly!
They also provided aprons for us 😊
The staff took care of everything— chopping the green onions, cutting the chicken, and removing the rice cakes so they wouldn’t stick to the pan.
They even brought out our kimchi rice ball, and the aroma was amazing!
We made one giant rice ball and devoured it together 😋
While we were making our rice ball, the water dakgalbi had been boiling nicely.
The staff checked in on it a few times to make sure it was coming along perfectly.
Finally, it’s ready!
We were advised to start with the rice cakes, and wow— they were so flavorful!
The seasoning was perfect, and the sauce had seeped into every bite.
As for the chicken, it was so tender and delicious that you could instantly tell they use high-quality meat.
Pairing the dakgalbi broth with the rice ball was a game-changer!
We ordered a small portion of the dakgalbi with a side of rice balls for two people, and it was more than enough to fill us up.
The portions are very generous 😊
Initially, I was worried that the broth might be bland since it's a water-based dish, but the seasoning was spot-on, and the combination of the broth with the rice ball was unbeatable 😍
