While exploring the B1 floor of Lotte Department Store near Euljiro 1-ga Station, I stumbled upon a sushi restaurant.

And what a surprise—it was Sushikase! 😍

I wasn’t planning on having sushi, but the live fire show and the rotating sushi were too tempting to resist! 🍣🔥

SUSHIKASE

The seating arrangement is primarily bar-style, which might not be the best option for larger groups.

But it does create a cozy, intimate atmosphere perfect for watching the sushi chefs work their magic! ✨

Once seated, I received a bowl with pickled ginger and garlic.

There’s a water dispenser on the table, so you can add broth to the bowl for sipping. 🍵

" The Sushi Menu "

The sushi is served on color-coded plates, which make it easy to know the price of each item.

They also offer omakase and takeaway options if you’re not in the mood for the rotating sushi. 🚥

Each table has a tablet for ordering, but honestly, with so many fresh and delicious sushi options right in front of me, I couldn’t resist just picking them directly off the conveyor belt. It was too fun! 😆

Soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger are available at every seat.

And the sushi chefs prepare everything right in front of you!

Watching them slice the fish and plate each piece is such a treat. 👨‍🍳🎣

The sushi pieces were all generously thick, with substantial portions of fresh fish atop perfectly seasoned rice.

What I Ate

The variety of sushi options was fantastic, from basic rolls to more unique offerings.

White Fish 🐟: Some of the best quality I’ve seen at any conveyor-belt sushi restaurant.

Fatty Salmon Belly 🐠: At 9,500 KRW per plate, it was rich, buttery, and so satisfying that I had to go back for seconds.

Mentai Toast 🍞: Sadly, it had been sitting on the belt a bit too long, so it wasn’t as fresh as I hoped.

Raw Beef Sushi 🥩: The texture was tender, with a beautiful shine, making it look irresistible.

Raw Shrimp 🍤: Plump, flavorful, and incredibly fresh.

Soy-Marinated Shrimp 🍣: Since the raw shrimp was so good, I had to try the marinated version, and it didn’t disappoint!

One of my favorites was the raw beef sushi, slightly grilled, with just the right amount of seasoning.

Pickled Radish Sushi 🍚: A surprising combo that I didn’t expect to love as much as I did.

I also couldn’t resist grabbing some taco-yaki for dessert. 🐙

Too full to try the shrimp dish again, though, I had to pass on that! 😅

It was a solo sushi feast, as my friend tapped out early! 😋

The quality of the sushi was so impressive that I was completely satisfied. And although some people around me seemed to only grab a few plates, I went all in and savored every bite.

When you ask for the bill, the staff writes it up for you on the spot, showing you exactly what you’ve eaten.

I noticed some folks opting for just 2-3 pieces and calling it a day, while others, like me, made the most of the fresh selections! 💸

If you’re a sushi lover, Sushikase is a must-visit spot in Myeongdong.

The high-quality ingredients and exciting ambiance make it a truly satisfying dining experience. 😊❤️
