It’s a perfect day for a picnic on Nodul Island!

The weather is sunny and clear ☀️😊

Take Line 9 and get off at Nodeul Station. From Exit 2, walk along the green path past sports courts like foot volleyball, soccer, and futsal fields.

As you walk, you’ll see the Hangang Bridge on your left.

There’s also a Hangang Pedestrian Network sign right at the beginning of the bridge.

Keep walking along the bridge,

and soon enough, you’ll spot Nodul Island on your left! 🌿🌉

Nodul Island Paid Parking

Nodul Island was designed with a focus on public transportation, so parking is limited. They strongly encourage visitors to use public transport.
The parking lot only accepts card payments.

  • Basic rate: 1,000 KRW for the first 30 minutes, 300 KRW for every additional 10 minutes.
  • Max daily rate: 15,000 KRW.

Bikes and buses are great options as well! 🚴‍♀️🚍

Once you head up the stairs,

you'll find Nodul Island's wide open plaza!
This space is on the 2nd floor, and there are plenty of places to eat on both the 1st and 2nd floors.

Nodul Island is a cultural hub built around music, connecting people to nature, each other, and art. 🎶🌳

There are floor guides, restrooms (which are conveniently located all around), and announcements of upcoming events.

There are plenty of restrooms available throughout the area :)

If you head up to the 3rd floor, you’ll find wide open spaces and a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Now, let's head back down to the 1st floor.

As we came down, we saw the "Everyone’s Piano" — a piano anyone can freely play 🎶

Then, we made our way to the convenience store.

The store has many benches out front, so you can sit and relax.

Inside, there are machines to cook ramen and a microwave for heating food.

They also have disposable bowls and utensils, along with essentials like medicine and snacks.

There’s ice and ice cream available too 🍦

There were so many ramen options!

We decided not to cook the ramen but instead bought some to eat dry as a snack 😆

Of course, we had to get some snacks 🥨

We grabbed zero cola, water, Ansungtangmyun (ramen), and a bag of Honey Twist Snacks! 🛒

Benches and seating areas are scattered throughout the 1st and 2nd floors.

We were focused on our picnic, so off we went to the lawn at Nodul Island! 🌿

The "Cultural Arts Yard" seemed like the perfect spot for any events they might have.

There were wooden chairs where people were enjoying some light snacks.

We continued walking further inside toward the lawn area.

As we walked, the romantic view opened up more and more,

with rows of beautiful yellow flowers lining the stairs 🌼

You could even see Nodul Island’s signature moon peeking out in the distance 🌙😊

Even though the weather was ideal for a picnic, it wasn’t too crowded at around 5:30 PM on a Thursday!

There were so many different types of benches scattered around the island.

The combination of willow trees and the subway passing by on the bridge was really charming.

Nodul Island felt perfect for a picnic under the soft, warm weather ☀️

We chose a spot where we could see the train tracks and the 63 Building along the Han River.

The view was just breathtaking!

A little foot wiggle in excitement 😆

We laid out our pizza and kimbap.

After eating two rolls of kimbap and a whole pizza between the three of us, we were super full 😋

But even though we were full, we couldn’t resist diving into the Honey Twist Snack — gone in seconds!

While I stayed back feeling full, my friends wandered around taking photos of the scenery and stretching their legs.

During that time, I took a video of the subway passing by.

The breeze through the grass, the flowing river, the passing train, and the towering 63 Building created a peaceful, heartwarming scene 😌

Even a cruise ship went by! Perfect.

As the sun began to set, we took some time to lie down and relax.

When we got up to watch the sunset, the large red sun hanging between the bridge pillars was incredible!

It was so round and bright 🌇

Around this time, more and more people started to gather on the island.

As soon as the sun set, it got chilly fast! 🥶

Many people had brought blankets or cardigans to stay warm.

Since we didn’t bring any, we decided to pack up.

We made sure to recycle properly on our way out!

On the way back, we captured some photos of the illuminated moon sculpture and the beautiful yellow flowers again 🌻

There were plenty of signs and maps to guide us on our way out as well.

Usually, we go to the nearby Yeouido Hangang Park, but Nodul Island felt like a completely different experience!

It was a more relaxed, peaceful, and romantic space.

We’ve already decided to come back again — next time with our bikes 🚴‍♀️😊
