I heard Ashley introduced a new menu for their 20th anniversary, so I decided to visit Ashley Mokdong! 😊

Getting there: Take Exit 2 from Omokgyo Station and walk for about 10 minutes.

Haengbokhan Department Store is the only department store in Korea built by the government!

It’s run by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency to support small businesses, which means shopping here supports local entrepreneurs. Pretty cool, right? 😊

Take the elevator to the 5th floor.

We arrived at 2:30 PM on a Saturday and found three groups already waiting (likely because it was right after Children’s Day, and Parents’ Day was just around the corner, so lots of families were out!).

There was also an Ashley Children’s Drawing Contest happening! 🎨
We were here to celebrate Ashley turning 20 years old! 🎉

After a 15-minute wait, we were seated.
Prepaid, got our table, and walked in!

Weekend Prices:
2 adults at 27,900 KRW × 2 = 55,800 KRW.

The seating area was spacious and well-organized.

Contactless Service: Press a button, and a robot comes to clear your plates! Or you can drop them off at the contactless return station yourself. 😄

Let the buffet begin!

Sushi Bar!
The sushi is popular, but they restock it frequently.

Pasta Bar!
The noodles were a bit undercooked compared to standard pasta, but the Rosé Seafood Pasta was the best! 😋 There was a warning sign about it being spicy, but it was just the right amount for me. I went back for more—it had the perfect seafood flavor, too! (I think the spice warning was more for kids).

My Favorites Section!

The Crispy Calamari from the English Calamari and Chips Platter was amazing! 🍤
Also, the Honey Butter Potatoes marked as "kids" were a winner for my childlike taste buds! 🥔

No Ashley visit is complete without their Carbonara Tteokbokki, but this time, the Hot Rosé Cream Wide Rice Noodles were even better! 😍 (Maybe I just like noodles that are a little soggy, haha).

Fondue Baguette Croutons paired with Cheese Lover’s Mac and Cheese were heavenly.
The Orange Sweet and Sour Pork was a unique combo but surprisingly tasty!

From the Korean section: Eggplant Fries, Mapo Tofu, Szechuan Minari Tofu Stir-fry.
The tofu fries were unexpectedly delicious, so I went back for seconds! Who knew fried tofu could be so good? 😆

Korean Dishes:
White rice, Abalone Intestine Risotto, Japchae, Shiitake Mushroom Sweet and Sour.
The japchae was classic buffet goodness, but the shiitake mushroom dish is always my go-to at Ashley!

Two kinds of Kimchi: Stir-fried Kimchi and White Kimchi, and of course, Bokkeum with White Blood Sausage!

Seaweed Bibimbap, Konjac Cold Salad, Minari Squid Chojang, Spicy Jjolmyeon, Honey Pumpkin Salad, Honey Yuja Lotus Root Salad

Clam Chowder (my favorite!), Corn Cream Soup, Pumpkin Porridge, Better Than Mushroom Soup, Baek Jjamppong Sujebi, and Nourishing Abalone Intestine Porridge

Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup), Miyeokguk (Seaweed Soup), Miso Soup, Sichuan Mala Hotpot, and Mussel Soup

I couldn't try everything though, I was too full by this point! 😭

Of course, you can't forget pizza!
They had: Gorgonzola Pizza, All-Maize Pizza, Sweet Potato Pizza, and Margherita Pizza.

This is the 20th Anniversary of Ashley Day!!

There are many dishes you can wrap in a tortilla. I loaded mine with guacamole and sour cream 🌯

Other options included:
Taco Vegetables, Mediterranean Fish Steak with Cheongyang Salsa, Original BBQ Pork Ribs with Smoked Sauce, French Cream Chicken with Truffle, and Korean Crispy Chicken Gangjeong.

My personal favorite combo?
Guacamole + sour cream + Smoked Duck Papillote in a tortilla 😍
(I skipped the veggies, though!)
My veggie-loving friend added grilled green onions and cabbage to theirs 🌮

I noticed there was no steak, but they had replaced the live steak with a BBQ Pork Rib Platter, which was still good, though a bit disappointing.

Live Noodles!
You can enjoy Udon and Rice Noodles. Just place your ingredients on a plate, ring the bell, and they’ll cook it for you! (Again, I was too full to try 😢)

They also had:
Cold Soba, various juices, and a new non-alcoholic drink, Lychee Lime Mojito!

For salads, there were many options:
Egg Noodles, Pumpkin Salad, Double Potato Salad, Lime Mango Salad, Corn Salad, Double Cheese Caesar Salad, Earl Grey Tomatoes, Mustard Chicken Salad, and Fruit Mayo Salad.

I customized my DIY salad with fresh mango, which was so delicious! 🍋🍴

Even though I was tempted by the beer on tap, I didn’t pour myself any. Instead, I tried their Queens House Blended Coffee—100% Arabica beans, freshly roasted in-house.

To refresh, I also grabbed a Zero Cola 🥤 and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream, which I turned into an affogato with some espresso!

Dessert Time! 🍰

They had so many choices:
Cherry & Choco Fudge Cupcakes, Cherry Basque Cheesecake, New York Lemon Curd Cupcakes, and London Raspberry Cheese Brownies.

Other desserts included:
Green Forest Tiramisu, Apples, Honey Grapefruit, and an Ashley Birthday Cake.

And of course, there was a Chocolate Fondue Fountain, with waffles and croffles. Even though I was stuffed, I had to make a waffle! 🧇

Tortilla + Guacamole + Sour Cream + Smoked Duck / Tteokbokki / Various Meats and Noodles / Soup.

Another tortilla combo with sushi and lots of meats.

Afterward, I pressed the untact return bell, and a robot came to clear our plates! 🤖

Finally, for dessert, I had waffles, affogato, and cakes.
The Cherry Basque Cheesecake and London Raspberry Cheese Brownie were SO good! 🍫🍒

Ashley also offered a special 20th Anniversary Birthday Chicken Package for 9,900 KRW:
Ashley Signature Chicken + Ashley Bag + 3 Coupons (Unlimited Draft Beer, Special Cheese Cake Price, Extra Chicken).
If you just want the Ashley Bag, it’s 2,900 KRW, and you can also buy a Berry Bit Hairband for 2,900 KRW.

I saw some students at the table next to us wearing the hairbands—so cute! 😍

Even though there were no strawberries this time, I still enjoyed the international flavors and had a wonderful Happy Ashley Day celebration! 🎉
