I visited the Peter Weibel exhibition titled Art as an Act of Cognition at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) in Seoul.

To get there, you can take Line 3 to Anguk Station, exit at gate 1, and walk approximately 936 meters (about 14 minutes).

Alternatively, you can take Line 5 to Gwanghwamun Station, exit at gate 2, and walk around 1.1 kilometers (about 17 minutes) to reach the museum.

As I arrived at the museum, I spotted the parking area and made my way inside.

The weather was absolutely perfect, with the sun shining brightly. 🌞

Since I have an artist pass, I got free admission!
For others, the entrance fee is 2,000 KRW.
After scanning the QR code, I entered the museum.

Descending one floor, I was greeted by the stunning architecture of the MMCA Seoul.
The good weather made the space look even more breathtaking!

"We have been questioning the ontological difference between image and reality."

As you explore the exhibition, there are interactive QR codes you can scan to discover intriguing commentary on the art.

“The word ‘possible’ is written on a white wall, and the projector simply emits light.”

Vlocano of emotion

Put on the headphones, read the subtitles, and immerse yourself in the video.

Entering a specific area, you can experience the confusion and chaos akin to hallucinations and auditory illusions.

Moving up to the second floor, the exhibition becomes more interactive.

Here, the displays blur the line between reality and the digital world.

YOU:R

Stand in front of the camera, and you'll notice you can't see your reflection—only the back of your head appears on the screen.

Your height is also displayed (though it might not be entirely accurate).

Extend your arms, and your image comes into view!

The second floor is filled with interactive works that really engage the visitors.

To embark on a true personal journey, one must not follow the desires of others or the absolute,
but rather pursue invisible fundamental values, constantly questioning and seeking answers.
