Tasty Road To Healthy Life
I love Greek yogurt so much that I even make it myself!
So, I decided to visit The Greek Bear, which I always noticed whenever I visited Hongdae.
Hongdae Sangsu Main Store: Right in front of Exit 2 of Sangsu Station, in a white building
Mokdong Rodeo Store: Located on Rodeo Street near Mokdong Station
I went to the Hongdae Sangsu Main Store!
You can spot the blue bear from afar 🐻
Since I came by bike, I returned it first! 🚴♀️
There's a bike station right in front of the store :)
Even though my main goal was to get Greek yogurt, there were quite a few people just enjoying the cafe atmosphere.
Open kitchen vibe!
The entrance was so cute I had to take a picture 📸
The door is fixed open, by the way.
You order via kiosks, which are located both outside and inside the store.
The kiosk instructions and how to use the cafe are clearly explained.
If you're ordering for takeaway, you wait on the first floor,
but if you're dining in, head to the second floor, and they’ll bring your order to you.
Once you’re done, return your dishes to the return bar!
The bathrooms are separate and very clean, and the Wi-Fi password is at the bottom of your receipt :)
"The Greek Bear Menu"
They’ve got some new items on the menu!
I ordered the Nutella Choco Bowl (Regular, White Thickie) for 6,900 KRW + Frozen Mango for 900 KRW = 7,800 KRW.
When choosing your Greek yogurt, you have to pick between White Thickie and Golden Creamy!
White Thickie is dense and thick, with minimal tartness, making it creamy and savory with a strong milk flavor. It's like a rich cream cheese experience.
Golden Creamy is chewy, smooth, and easy to swallow, with a soft milk taste that’s perfect for Greek yogurt newbies.
Since I’m all about that thick texture, I went with White Thickie! 😋
Up to the second floor I went!
The staircase is full of cuteness.
They’ve arranged the space well, so there are plenty of seating options.
I was dining alone and wanted to enjoy the view, so I grabbed a spot by the window.
The combination of sky blue and white is so adorable, right?
I got myself some lemon water 🍋
The staff brought my order to me!
Enjoying the view of Sangsu Station 🚉
As expected, the texture was on another level compared to my homemade version!
And with Nutella, you can’t go wrong 😍
Bananas, chocolate biscuits, nuts, and Nutella were generously piled on, even though it was just a regular size. I added frozen mango to make up for the lack of fruit, and it was deliciously sweet. Happiness!
After finishing, I returned my tray to the return bar.
What a satisfying meal! 😊
